A bizarre video believed to have been filmed in Indonesia has shown a shocking apparent would-be street abduction using a monkey.
In the video, a money riding a mini-motorbike is filmed snatching up a toddler.

Locals scared the monkey off, rescuing the child. (9News)
The monkey, which appears to be on a rope, is then pulled down the street with the child.
But locals chased the animal away, and the toddler escaped.
